Nicaragua hasn't changed much in the year I've been gone. There are still drunks in the streets, beggars everywhere, and the patron saint festival is in full swing. Four years ago this month we moved our whole family here. Three years ago this week we were robbed of almost every valuable we had. One year ago this week my life was turned upside down as the Lord made it very clear that we were to move to Mexico and leave this land, which we did within three weeks.
So now I get to be here on the anniversary of two rather difficult times, but it's all good. I am reminded of God's mercy and faithfulness. He is our shield and our protector, and He proves Himself faithful time after time after time.
