I have always been a fan of the reality show Survivor, so much so that some friends of ours used to videotape the show and mail it to us in Nicaragua for a great treat. Last season I found that some generous people record it and post it on youtube, which means that I can watch the show the day after it airs in the US. I can't view it on cbs.com, because of some IP address that they realize comes from Mexico.Last week they voted off Leslie, the Christian radio show host from Charlotte's New Life 91.9. I knew I recognized that voice! She was hit with something hard on day 1, the welcome ceremony, when they wanted everyone to bow down to a Buddha statue, and even though they said it wasn't a worship service, she knew she couldn't bow to anyone. I think she said, "The only one I will put my face to the floor for is Jesus." I really admire her strength and fortitude to not be shy about her faith. I know that she wasn't voted off for her faith, either, and I wish she could have stayed on longer!

I was so proud of her too. My girls and I were watching and sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for her to stand up and say no to doing it. It was awesome, we all cheered.
I too am a survivor fan.
Hope life is going well, it's getting cool here, I miss the heat!
I second you Jan! I wish she could have stayed. Some of the tribe members said they were worried that she bonded with the other Christians in the other tribe when she was kidnapped. I am so proud of her for standing up for what she believes.
PS did you see I gave you an a award?
