Mexico Newscasts

Once again, we have been so busy with orientation at the Bible School, we havent had time to go online at all! Today the students started classes, which means a little more free time to go and check emails and to get back to my regular blogging!

So, for today's MEXICO MONDAY, I want to talk about the newscasts in Mexico. One would think with Hurricane Dean bearing down on the Yucatan that this would be all over the news, but that's just not the case. Maybe we Americans are a lot more concerned about the weather than the rest of the world? They mention it for about two minutes and then they move on to celebrities and soccer games. It's just so different for me! You go to fox news and you see the hurricane pictures from the space shuttle, you see the reporters in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cancun, and then you go to Mexico news and you hear... nothing.

Well, please keep Mexico in your prayers in the next few days. There should be a lot of rain here in Monterrey, which would be a cause for worry as well.

I'll be praying for you guys. I hope Dean fizzles out.

The Latin culture can be so much more carefree than we are! Sometimes I'm jealous.

We are way way north... near the border of Texas, on the east side of Mexico. let's see, we are five hours from Tampico, the beach, and two hours from Laredo Texas. Hope that helps! Thanks for the prayers.
