What "Heroes" power would you want?

We have fallen in love with the tv show "Heroes". I know you guys in the US have already seen the season finale, but we haven't seen it here yet. I think it comes on this Friday. So, for today's Thursday Thoughts I want to know which power you would have if you could... we have this discussion over dinner and in the car with our kids a lot; talking about the positives and negatives of each power.

Spontaneous Regeneration: Whenever you are hurt, you just put yourself back together. Downside is that you would still get hurt, and you could cut your arm off again and again and again.

Flying: Whenever you need to go to the grocery store, or want to jet off to Hawaii, there you go. I don't think you can take anyone with you, though.

Hearing people's thoughts: You could know if your kids are lying to you. But, do you REALLY want to know what people think? That could be painful for the ego!

Drawing the future: I think this would be fun, but it would also be tempting to change the course of things. Then you would have to decide how much God is in control of the events, etc...

Time-travelling: This could be a lot of fun! You could see things in the past as they occurred. Would you want to change history?

Burning things: There's that guy who can set things on fire. I don't like this power at all. He can't seem to control it. It's kind of like King Midas, turning everything he touches into gold.

There are a few other characters... one who is MPD and strange, then the kid who can fix everything electronic (that would be a lot cheaper than Best Buy!), and a guy who can pass through walls.

What superpower would you want?

I would want to fix electronics! We've been through 3 cheap sound systems in three years. And don't get me started on this computer. OY

I know, Rodney, that's because they're cheap! But wouldn't it be great if I could just fix the cheap ones instead of buying the real thing?

Hey, Jan, I'm going to catch up on your posts tomorrow. I haven't been able to read as much as I'd like lately. Love ya!

Peter Patrelli - Absorb and keep other's powers without hurting them. Rogue of the Uncanny X-men has this power but the absorbed power only lasts for a limited time and if she continues to touch the person she absorbs their personality and ultimately the person dies.

So Peter's power is the best. The issue would be to keeping up with all your powers and not letting one short circuit the other.

But if I had to choose one it would be the time travel. I would go see Jesus in a heart beat.

That's true, Peter can basically have ALL the powers when he wants them... kind of like Sylar, but without eating people's brains! :p

Syler!!! Yeah, I know he's a villan but that doesn't mean that "I" wouldn't use them for the good. :-D BTW, what's the difference between Peter's powers (absorbing) and Syler's? They have the same powers except Syler doesn't absorb them? He has to slice people's heads open..? Just wondering.

I think I would want to be your friendly neighborhood Spider Man. He kicked the X-Men's butts in one comic I read a long time ago. If not him then definitely Wolverine.
