Ice Age

I have found that we Americans are rare in our liking of ice. I like to fill my cup up to the top with ice before I put my beverage in it, but that's not the norm in the countries I have visited. Here in Mexico, I usually have to ask for an extra glass of ice, as they usually only put one or two cubes in my glass. The Mexicans think it is unsavory to have your soda watered down by the melting ice. I'm just used to that, I guess.

Kids here like lots of ice, but adults usually have moderate ice. Cold water will do in the summer.

I noticed that when I was in Poland. It was really hard to find ice and we were so excited when we did! I noticed in England it was the same way.

I've heard about that. I shudder to think of being in steamy Mexico sipping a nice hot Pepsi.
